LIGMATECH Automationssysteme GmbH is a German company which operates in the packaging sector. The firm focuses mainly on providing all-in-one packaging solutions to woodworking firms.

Part of the Homag group of companies, LIGMATECH is a German firm which specializes in manufacturing packaging machinery, and supplying automation solutions to companies that work in the woodworking sector. The firm was founded in 1981, and started off by manufacturing woodworking machinery. By 1992, operations had expanded to such an extent, that LIGMATECH moved into a huge new manufacturing facility in the town of Lichtenberg. During the 1990s the firm pushed the boundaries of woodworking and packaging, opening a new research and development centre to complement its factory. This led to the firm establishing itself as one of Europe's leading players in packaging and conveying, with a strong focus on finding new ways to automate operations throughout the production cycle.

LIGMATECH has worked on many different projects during its lifetime, including the delivery of a full production line to a French furniture manufacturer, which has been used in the production of cabinets and cupboards. The firm currently divides its work into three different fields - automation, packaging and assembly, although when delivering solutions to clients these three fields are intertwined. LIGMATECH can provide production line solutions, but also supplies individual "cell" production solutions in which individual workers can operate. They set out to supply both individual bespoke clients, as well as heavy-duty companies with extremely complex packaging and assembly challenges. And LIGMATECH does so by focusing on ensuring that every one of the requirements of each client is met. Their speciality is linking together different machines and processes, so that every stage in the production process can be simplified and automated as much as possible. Along with this focus, LIGMATECH also offers a full spare parts and maintenance service, and offers trade-specific consultancy services to its clients, allowing them to get the most out of their machinery.
